| Worldwide, a woman giving birth and 7 newborns die every minute, according to UNICEF. Inaugurated last year to improve access to basic health care for mothers and infants in Timor-Leste, the Prince Rainier III Maternity Clinic in Same has just reached a milestone of 1000 successful births.
